The Memory Store does not handle orders, shipping or grievances for orders placed on AMAZON or other e-commerce platforms. We only recommend/curate/ showcase those products. Items with a price are made and or sourced in-house by The Memory Company (TMC) and housed at the THE MEMORY STORE.


How can I place an order?

a) Any books, prints or artefacts that you see without a price are affiliate links to AMAZON. So if you like anything, click on the link and you are directed to the Amazon Site where you can purchase the item. Indian Memory Shop does not handle orders or shipping for orders placed on AMAZON. We only showcase curated products.

b) Items with a price are sourced, designed, produced by THE MEMORY COMPANY and housed at the THE MEMORY STORE, when you see an item you like, click on “Add To Cart” and continue shopping until you are ready to complete your purchase. Then click on “Go To Cart” from that page, click on “Checkout” to confirm your quantity and items, and enter your name, address, billing and shipping details; finally, click on “Complete Order” to complete payment details.

By when and how will I receive my order confirmation?

a) Any orders placed on Amazon will be confirmed by them.

b) Any orders placed to buy The Memory Store products (TMS) should receive a confirmation on email within 5-15 minutes of placing your order that The Memory Store has received your order. If you do not, please get in touch with The Memory Store ( ) to assist you in this technical blasphemy.

I’ve ordered a TMC product , can I add more things to my order?

Once you have placed an order, and made the payment, it is not possible to add another item to the existing order. However, if you can continue to buy more products on the same day, we can ship them as part of the same order but they may or may not ship in the same box.

I have made made an error in my billing / shipping information? How do I correct that?

Please contact us on e-mail ( ) with the correction, and we’ll correct it for you. We will even send an email back to confirm the correction.

How do I check my products order status?

Once your order has been shipped, you will be sent a shipping confirmation email.  We make every effort to meet the time-lines, but during busy seasons deliveries may take a little longer and we regret the delay. We will do our best to get your order shipped as quickly as possible.

How can I change, cancel or return my TMC products order?

For Limited Editions  : The nature of limited edition prints/items is that once you place an order, we only make it for you and begin the production process within a few hours of your order. And so it is not possible to cancel orders as they could have already be in midst of production or even shipped; hence we do not accept cancellations, returns, modifications, changes or refunds for Limited Editions.

However, we understand that there can be a sudden afterthought, or an error in orders, so we offer a 2-hour window to cancel or change your order from the moment you placed it earlier. Please email us at  with your order number along your request to cancel/modify and we shall comply as per your requirements. Please note no orders can be cancelled/changed or returned after a 2-hour window and all sales are final.

Can I exchange or replace a product?

a) If the product order was placed on Amazon, that would not be our responsibility, and you must get in touch with Amazon to assist you.

b) If you have ordered a TMC product then  please be assured that each product is hand checked by us to ensure you are receiving the product in perfect condition – after all it is a value we prefer to live up to. But there are rare times when the item(s)got damaged or there was an imperfection we just missed, during shipment/processing.

If the product you have received is damaged, defective or incorrect or has size issues, we will be glad to exchange or replace it. Please contact The Memory Store within 7 days of order delivery for details on the process. As part of the replacement, you will be required to send the defective or wrong item along with its original packaging back to us; the shipping cost of the damaged product to us will be borne by the customer, unless discussed otherwise.

1. For any exchange or replacement, inquiries must be presented in an email. Please submit an enquiry on email.

2. To get a fair exchange or replacement, your product(s) must be unused and in the exact same condition in which you received it, including the original packaging.

3. Send an email to with the subject ‘Exchange/Replacement’ indicating the following information:

I) Date of order, with order number

II) Reason for the exchange/replacement

III) Photo of damaged product(s) and packaging both. (Both are mandatory)

4. We will not accept exchanges or replacements after 7 days of delivery date have passed,

5. We will only accept exchanges and offer refunds if there is a defect in the quality of items or if you have received wrong item(s).

6. If you expect a refund, the order value will be refunded to you once we have received the returned item back.

If the defect is due to mishandling on the part of the buyer, The Memory Store will not accept a return, exchange, or refund of the item. Our policy only covers defective, or damaged goods. The Memory Store has the right to decline a return or a refund. Please note that customers/buyers are responsible for the fees involved for returning items, unless stated otherwise.


Color Matching

There is always a difference in colours – in what we see on screen and how it gets printed on paper. So please be aware that there will be a colour variation, however, we supervise each print with offline printing expertise, so the variation will be to its minimum.

We use a range of museum quality archival papers to print limited edition prints. For eg Hahnemuhle and Enhanced Matte Fibre in a range of paper GSMs and textures.

  • To prevent fading or color distortion, it’s best to hang your paper print away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry space and definitely not outdoors or in balconies.
  • Remove dust by blowing gently, or using compressed air – (a hair dryer set to low & cool  helps).
  • Never use water or cleaning products of any kind to clean your paper print. It can cause the inks to run.
  • Framing is always a good option to protect art prints from dust, water damage, and tears. However, if you plan to keep the print rolled-up for a while please consider using small silica bags in the box that help absorb moisture and humidity. Silica gel packets can be found at the pharmacy.
  • While opening the print, get some help of a friend and hold the prints by its edges to avoid any creases and bumps
  • Never please any heavy object on top of your paper print, it will leave weight creases.
  • Best practice is to hand it to a framer immediately.



What payment methods do you accept?

We accept only online payments. The Memory Store uses two robust and absolutely secure online payment intermediaries : Instamojo FOR NOW. You can use either of them to pay for your order. Instamojo accepts net-banking, UPI, debit card, credit card, (Amex, Diners, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Rupay)).

Why is my payment card not being accepted.

Perhaps you need to double check the banking or card details again for it may not have been entered correctly. Alternatively, you could try a different card, use net banking on Paypal, Instamojo or you can contact us via email and we’ll look into it for you. Maybe its best to check if there is an upgrade going on at your bank’s end.

a) If you have placed an order via an affiliate link to Amazon, then Amazon should handle your product. The Memory Store does not handle any invoices for orders placed on AMAZON. We only showcase curated products.

b) For products produced by THE MEMORY COMPANY Invoice and payment information is not sent with your order. It is sent to the email address provided on the order. Past invoices can accessed by writing to us and we can send you a duplicate PDF by email.



Who will deliver my order?

a) If you have placed an order via an affiliate link to Amazon, then Amazon should handle your product. The Memory Store does not handle orders or shipping for orders placed on AMAZON. We only showcase curated products.

b) If you are buying a product that is produced by THE MEMORY COMPANY, then The Memory Store uses established and trusted shipping partners like FedEx and UPS for most orders. For Mumbai orders only, we hand deliver via our  courier partners.

What are the shipping charges?

While shipping charges can vary according to weight and size,  currently, we have  two flat rates in our shipping mode for India and International shipping.
Rs. 300 for India and Rs. 3500 for international. International shipping charges DO NOT INCLUDE applicable import duties or taxes that are due upon entry into the destination country. All duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid at the time of delivery. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

How is my order / item packaged?

The Memory Store packaging is designed to protect your order. We care that you receive the best product you have ordered and so we wrap the item well. At the same time, we also care that our packaging is environmentally friendly and does not entail too much waste. Prints are usually rolled in a mailing tube that we think you can re-purpose and re-use. Other products are packaged in  protective boxes or envelopes. If your order contains different products they may be shipped as separate items and may arrive on different days.

What are the Delivery Times?

If your product is a Limited Edition custom produced item then it is  individually printed and assembled after you order it, so please do permit 5-10 days for production time and delivery.

If the item is available with us in our existing inventory, then we ship your order within 5-7 working days after the order is placed. We request you to permit us extra time for your order to be processed during public holidays/peak season (e.g., Diwali, Christmas, etc.) in India. The seasons affect production and shipping services as well.

A delay may also occur due to a pending payment authorisation, which is outside of The Memory Store influence or control. Some countries may require additional time.
